About Panvaree Resort
The Pioneer of Cheow Lan Lake Floating Stay
Panvaree Resort was founded by Mr. Natthawat Sakda (Ton) — a young visionary who pioneered floating accommodations at Cheow Lan Lake (Ratchaprapha Dam) back in 2002, right after graduating from St. John’s University in Bangkok.
At that time, Cheow Lan Lake was still an undiscovered gem. Ton began his journey by building a small bamboo raft house called “Pae Chiew Lan” and “Pae Ton Nam” in the Khlong Long area — blending local wisdom with simplicity to welcome the first wave of travelers to the lake.
In 2013, as the National Park authorities began regulating floating resorts, Ton’s existing operation was granted permission to rebuild and rebrand — leading to the creation of Panvaree Resort, named after his beloved mother Khun Waree Sakda, whose support made this dream possible.
Later in 2016, Panvaree expanded with “The Greenery Zone”, designed for high-end guests, honeymooners, and international travelers seeking a refined, nature-immersed experience.
Today, Panvaree Resort stands as one of Thailand’s most recognized floating resorts — known for its perfect balance of mountain and lake views, peaceful ambiance, and heartfelt hospitality. Ton’s vision remains steadfast: to make Panvaree one of the top floating resorts in Asia, celebrated globally for its authentic Thai spirit and world-class standards.
